Austin Healey 3000 MkIII Phase II

DETAILS

Built 12-28th December 1966 KWD 354D is a very late build Austin Healey 3000 MkIII Phase II. The MkIII was the most powerful Big Healey and featured all final production revisions for increased refinement and practicality, improved performance and handling. Finished in Healey Blue metallic with Ivory duotone, Chrome wire wheels, a Navy interior plus Navy wet weather gear this is a fully restored car with restoration completed in 2023. Just 4,000 miles have been covered since the rebuild and the car is in excellent condition throughout.

The restoration work of this stunning example was undertaken by a London based classic car specialist with the car stripped down to component form, the body shell and chassis taken back to bare metal with this plus all components repainted.

The interior was completely retrimmed at this time with Navy leather faced seat covers, wool carpets and a Navy everflex wet weather gear including hood, tonneau and hood bag were all hand fitted.

During the restoration the original matching numbers engine was overhauled to original specification now with unleaded fuel conversion. The engine received its first service in 2024 and can be considered fully ‘broken-in’. The carburettors were rebuilt in 2025 with a new coil fitted and the car was fully serviced later that year.

In conclusion KWD 354D is a stunning example of the Healey 3000 MkIII finished in the chocolate box Healey Blue over Ivory colour combination, rebuilt to original specification, in fine fettle and ready to go.
