DETAILS

Here we have a rare opportunity to purchase one of just 17 original right-hand drive, home market two-seaters produced in 1961 in immaculate condition. Built between the 12th and 15th January this Healey was first delivered to Wimbledon Motor Works Ltd of London in a high specification of original trim including overdrive and a heater.

This Healey, 754 XVG is very original to this day with original panelling, matching numbers on the original engine and body and impressively retains many unique little features of its UK history such as the original Wimbledon Motor Works key ring – showing it to be a cherished car.

754 XVG is stunning in the flesh, painted in Gun Metal Grey with Colorado Red Duotone, Red leather seating with Red piping, Red carpet set and Chrome wire wheels with continental CT22 tyres plus Black mohair wet-weather equipment.

The restoration of this Healey was completed in June 2020, commencing in 2017 with the majority of works undertake by The Drivers Club BV (Netherlands) and costing in excess of €100,000 with full paperwork documentation to support this. The restoration was completed in January 2020 by a UK specialist with a further £10,000 spent on the brakes, engine and drivetrain, chrome, trim, tonneau, hood and interior.

The specification of this Healey is particularly exciting. A later centre change overdrive gearbox delivers a wonderful amount of power from a fast road engine featuring triple 45DCOE weber carburettors for increased performance with a Denis Welch large bore exhaust system to project a wonderful sound. Further handling upgrades to the car ensure this power is well controlled with increased negative camber for added grip and MkIII disc brakes to increase brake torque.

Inside the gorgeous two-seat cockpit features bespoke Red leather seating in unmarked condition, a rare period wood steering wheel and superb condition Red carpet. Wet weather gear is complete and finished in Black mohair for a more premium finish with the tonneau and roof made hand made to fit the contours of this BN7 body.

In summary this rare two-seater 3000 presents a great proposition for the buyer to acquire a just restored car finished in a particularly attractive and unique upgraded specification with next to no miles since completion, ready for years of motoring.

Sold serviced with MOT, original Wimbledon Motor Works dealer keyring, Wimbledon Motor Works adverts, British Motor Heritage Certificate of Authenticity, original driver’s handbook, paperwork history file, original Austin Healey 3000 marketing literature, original Thor hammer and jack.
