YUD 315 is a right hand drive home market car that was built in July 1963, registered in August 1963 and was excitingly supplied by the Donald Healey Motor Company (Works) in Warwick.  The car was supplied with most of the original available extras including wire wheels, adjustable steering column, Overdrive, Heater, laminated windscreen, Road speed tyres, servo assisted brake and a blue tonneau cover.

This car is one of only 455 original right hand drive MKIIA cars made – a popular model – featuring the same pram type hood and windows as on the MKIII but still retaining Gerry Coker designed ‘roadster cockpit’ and simpler dash style of the early cars.

In 2023 YUD 315 has been treated to major body and structural works by Rawles Motorsport, with the rear end of the car totally rebuilt including chassis reinforcement, new rear bulkhead, wing and bodywork repairs, 85% respray to make the car externally 100% in the svelt Oxford Blue you see here in the picture with the inner structurally similarly painted to a high quality. Many exterior components and trims have been replaced, wheels and tyres appear very recent replacements.

The interior in YUD is a new, full leather interior from a Healey specialist of extremely high quality finished in Cream with Navy piping, new Navy carpet set, Navy mohair hood and Navy mohair hood bag. As a MkII the interior features the beautiful Gold Smiths instrumentation all in good order and functioning as early Healey gauges do.

The engine is clean, and presented in factory original specification as a matching numbers car. Oil pressure is good and the car accelerates cleanly through all gears, shifting well and the overdrive fully functional. The car benefits from a major 2023 Rawles Motorsport service. The history file supplied with the car includes MOTs back to 1984 along with many bills for parts and work. Maintained by Rawles Motorsport Ltd for last owner over a number of years.
