DETAILS

JWE 642C is an extremely well-developed 1965 Austin Healey 3000 MkIII Phase II suitable either for entertaining road use or competition. JWE was restored in 2001 over a period of 20 months and at a cost of over $110,000. The works were completed by Steve Pike of Marsh Classics who is very well regarded globally. The brief of the car was to create an obsessively correct works rally replica with performance exceeding those original cars, handling to match through advanced suspension and braking refinements all with a fully fitted out and comfortable leather-clad cabin. JWE has covered 14,000 miles in total since restoration.

After restoration JWE was campaigned for some years proving itself a very fast car achieving notable victories such as fasted time in the 2002 Sandown International post war class against other Healeys including 100S cars, E-types, MGB V8s and Datsun 240Zs. After this competition use the drivetrain was further rebuilt and further upgraded by the Healey Factory of Melbourne, Australia. The Last service was caried out in 2022 once the car had been imported to the UK.
