ODC 596 is an original right-hand drive Austin Healey 3000 MkII built between 13-26th March 1961. Just 261 MkII Healeys were built for the home market (a total of 5,096 cars were built) with this particular example being sold to its first owner through Murray & Charelton Limited of Middlesbrough and first registered on 15th July 1961.
Finished in a very gorgeous and extremely dark, almost Black shade of Green this MkII Healey has a sensational exterior nicely complimented by 72-spoke chrome wire wheels and beautifully contrasted by a Red leather interior with Red carpet set plus matching Red Everflex wet-weather gear including tonneau.
This splendid example was fully restored in 2005 being completely stripped down to a bare chassis for a full nut and bolt rebuild. The body was painted in stages separately with all panels removed and remains of a very satisfying finish today. The engine was rebuilt by ourselves here at Rawles Motorsport as part of the restoration with us also upgrading the radiator to a large core capacity. The engine remains numbers original, matching the heritage certificate. The car has completed just 2,200 miles since its rebuild.
Supplied serviced with MOT, British Motor Heritage Certificate of Authenticity, photographic restoration documentation, wet weather gear including roof, tonneau and side screens plus service history.
