1959 Austin Healey 3000 MkI | Rawles Motorsport Restored, UK RHD, Cherished Reg

This 1959 Austin Healey 3000 MkI is an original right-hand drive, original colours example with all its original body panels retained plus an original number’s drivetrain. This stunning home market example was built on 29-30^th June and sold new at H.A. Saunders Ltd of Finchely, issued from new with the (now very valuable) registration mark ‘4 HNK’ which remains with the car. The car is finished in Ivory White with Red interior and chrome wire wheels.

Fully specialist restored by Rawles Motorsport in 2013 with less than 3,000 miles since this example remains in wonderful clean condition out with insignificant wear and usage. The car has been comprehensively maintained by the same mechanic in our workshop who built the car and drives superbly.

Restoration included a full strip back to a bare metal chassis with body removed whereby the car was fully rebuilt to its former glory utilising the good original chassis. The original panels have been repaired sensitively retaining as much original metal as possible. All electrics, mechanicals and ancillary items have been repaired or replaced with the engine upgraded to MkIII fast road specification for a very healthy increase in performance.

The interior of 4 HNK has been fully re-trimmed by hand with Red leather seating with White seat piping, Red deep pile wilton carpet with extra thermal insulation sown in plus mohair tonneau and hood also bespoke fitted to the car.
