Built and invoiced 2nd May 1955 this Austin Healey 100 BN1 is a very fast Healey suitable as either a quick road going or track day ready machine. A 180HP Denis Welch built engine provides power to the rear wheels through a modern 5 speed gearbox with handling upgrades to support this. Restored first in 2002 but refreshed in 2019 with a Gun Metal full exterior repaint the car presents well. This car has been continuously well maintained and supported in various events. The car could also be converted back for track or race work.

The engine is a full Dennis Welch 4 cylinder 2600cc race engine, including: Alloy cylinder head, Steel crank and steel con-rods, Forged pistons, Aluminium baffled sump, Special front pulley, new Race camshaft and followers, new Race distributor & drive gear, new Race oil pump & drive gear, Steel fly wheel, AP race clutch, Full race lightened rocker assembly, new Big bore side exhaust system , Twin SU carburettors completely rebuilt to race specification, Le Mans air box, Dennis Welch alloy radiator, new Oil cooler (braided hoses), 5-speed gearbox and a new LSD. Tilton Alloy pedal box (lightened), new Fuel pressure gauge & filter, Competition hi-torque starter motor, Race electric cooling fan.

Inside the car sports full leather Ridgard bucket seats to FIA specification, Dennis Welch FIA seat harness with professional bracing, a new Alloy dash fitted with new Tachometer, new Speedometer, new Temperature gauge, new Oil gauge, new bespoke wiring loom, new fully plumbed Fire extinguisher system, Alloy floors, new Chrome handbrake, new Gearbox tunnel, detachable steering wheel, new latest specification Dennis Welch steering box, adjustable.

The chassis, restored in 2002 was upgraded with lightweight alloy bulkheads similar in principle to a 100S with the chassis itself strengthened. The rear bulkhead features a recess allowing taller drivers more legroom. Just prior to the 2019 repaint aluminum wings and aluminum doors were fitted for further weight saving. A detachable roll bar is nicely integrated into the rear shroud and hidden with body coloured finishers when not in use.

Suspension upgrades include uprated front and rear springs, upgraded dampers, front disc brakes, drilled brake drums,  rear anti-tramp bar, upgraded anti-roll bar with rose joints, braided brake and fuel lines, new wheels fitted with road tyres.
