DETAILS

Built on 18thFebruary 1966, this late MkIII is a desirable late BJ8 model finished in a very attractive and dark shade of British Racing Green, it’s original colour. The car was restored in the early 90s to an especially pleasing standard of quality evidenced by the certificates awarding the car 3rdplace in the 1992 Austin Healey Club National Concours event, then further refreshed in 2003. These works are shown to have stood the test of time through a further ‘Best Post War Entry’ commendation in 2018.

This Healey is an original numbers example, retaining its original engine recently upgraded in 2013 to an uprated high-performance road specification. This engine is perfect for enthusiastic road driver with good yet well-mannered performance and features triple 2” SU HD8 carburettors, fully balanced internals, a ported and polished cylinder head, upgraded harmonic crankshaft dampener, a large core radiator and upgraded fan plus a new stainless exhaust.

On the inside this Healey is very nicely presented with its Black leather interior as per its heritage certificate, finished in Black with a Walnut dashboard. Additional extras of front inertia seatbelts and a twin 12v power adapter are nicely integrated.

A strong paper trail of invoices indicates that the car had covered just 62,000 miles prior to restoration and identifies that the car has been serviced regularly with Healey specialists (including ourselves) since restoration.
