This rare BN7 two-seater, one of just 1,085 cars built in 1960 (versus 6,000 2+2s)  is recently restored and finished in its original colours of Healey Blue Metallic with Navy interior and Aluminium Silver wire wheels. The MKI two-seat cars were notably produced for race and rally homologation with this model winning the Liege-Rome-Liege Rally of 1959, the 1961 Coupes Des Alpes Rally (as driven by Stirling Moss) and entering Le Mans in 1960.

This particular example, chassis 8432 was restored between Q1 2013 and Q4 2014 with around 4,000 miles since.  A file of 4GB in size provided with the car neatly details in folders all independent stages of restoration with photographs and descriptions, showing the installation of a new chassis, new wings, floors and more. The original front and rear shrouds, bonnet, boot and more were rebuilt. The original engine and gearbox was rebuilt and painted the factory correct ‘steel grey’ green colour, with ancillaries such as the dynamo and heat shield also painted this colour as would be done at the factory.

At present day the car still presents most immaculately and is a very high quality example, driving beautifully with the new chassis which will provide superior stiffness to any older chassis car. We have just fitted new rear dampers and rebuilt the carburettors.
