Austin Healey 3000 MkIII Phase II

DETAILS

Please note we will be fitting a new windscreen and new Blockley 185R15 tyres to NYB 952E as part of our sales preparation – not photographed.

Handsomely finished in (Dark) British Racing Green with Black interior, Dark Green Mohair hood and Aluminium Silver wire wheels this Austin Healey 3000 MkIII is an extremely late built, final production specification Phase II car despatched from Austin’s Abingdon factory in August of 1967. As such the car features all final production revisions including a 150BHP straight six, three litre engine, wind-up windows and pram style hood, the ‘De-Luxe’ interior and is well optioned with wire wheels, a heater and overdrive.

Fully restored in the mid 1990s this is a very nice Healey ideal for the driving enthusiast. It is believed the car has covered around 10,000 miles since restoration with MOTs back until 2001 supporting this. NYB 952E has been serviced regularly by and known to Rawles Motorsport for over 20 years with major works and upgrades including re-chroming (2005), new clutch (2007), new made to measure Dark Green mohair hood and hood bag (2009), Rawles Motorsport fast flow manifold and negative earth conversion (2011), new radiator (2013), new rear shocks (2014) and more. The last invoice for the car from Rawles Motorsport was August 2026 for four new Blockley 185 tyres.

Externally NYB presents very nicely with good quality paint, chrome and trim. The interior is extremely presentable considering the age of the upholstery with no major marks just the welcome patina of real leather which been cared for and aged gracefully. Similarly, there are some marks on the paint notably on the rear wings which could be improved to increase the value of the car but until then the car remains otherwise extremely presentable and joyous to drive.

Sold with new MOT, new tyres, large paperwork history file including restoration documentation, British Motor Heritage Trust certificate, owners manual, hood bag, jack and hammer.
