Austin Healey 3000 MkII BN7 Two-Seater, UK RHD 1 of 34

DETAILS

More photos to follow undergoing preparation.

Uniquely finished in Verde Masaccio with Ivory duotone, chrome wire wheels, a beautiful light interior with Ivory leather seats with Dark Green contrast piping, Dark Green carpet set with bound edging. Most notably this Healey, 333 UEH, is one of a total 35 original right hand drive two-seaters built for the home market. The MkII two-seater is the rarest production Healey of them all, rarer even then the 100M with just 355 cars built. These cars are now coveted for featuring the most powerful engine fitted to a two-seat Healey which is viewed by many as the most beautiful of them all with its pure, unadulterated lines.

Built between 9-20th October 1961 and despatched from Austin’s Abingdon factory a little later on 20th October to Henley Garage of Stoke-on-Trent this Healey was first registered as 333 UEH (retained today) and well optioned with servo brakes, wire wheels, a heater, overdrive and an adjustable steering column.

In 1984 the car was purchased by a BMC engineer in 1996 embarked on a total ‘nut and bolt’ restoration of UEH 333 with a particular focus on originality – saving and restoring as many of the original components and panels as possible. The current owner purchased from him in 2012 and since then the car has had a good deal of maintenance and further improvements including:

–          New wheels and tyres

–          New tonneau cover

–          New hood

–          New stainless exhaust system

–          New 5 blade fan

–          Radiator refurbish

–          New leaf springs

–          Clutch re build

–          New brake servo

–          New ‘high torque’ starter motor

–          New ‘high power’ battery

–          Various other minor works as part of recent overhaul / service by BRCC

At present day the car presents nicely with only minor age related marks on the paintwork, the interior very clean throughout with minimal wear, the engine bay clean and the engine running very smoothly.

Sold with British Motor Heritage Certificate, invoices and service documentation, original green log book, V5, HPI clear report plus a useful spare tin of paint.
